Location
It is one of the sought after Selkirk town homes at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort: Unit 6 Selkirk Strata, 1595 Whitetooth Trail. Ski or board straight from the front door down to the main gondola lift "Golden Eagle Express", or simply walk across to the "Pioneer" chairlift behind the house! At the end of the day "Kicking Horse" trail will return you back to "The Silver Fox"!
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1: the Master Bedroom. This top floor bedroom has twin beds which can be pushed together into a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, and picture window. Enjoy the views from the window seat looking up to the "Dogtooth" and up "Pioneer" chairlift to the ski slopes.
Bedroom 2: the Canadian log bedroom. This bedroom is a favourite with its rustic log bunkbed (queen size bed below and single above). Romantics can cosy up under the grizzly bear patchwork quilt!
Bedroom 3: the Douglas bedroom. This bedroom is light and bright and looks towards the Rockies. It has a queen size bed with a single above, crafted from Douglas fir by a local furniture maker.
(Bedrooms 2 and 3 on the top floor share a shower room).
Bedroom 4: the Scottish room. We have chosen flamboyant red tartan bed linens for the twin size beds, which can be joined into a king size bed, to remind us of our Scottish roots back in Edinburgh!
(Bedroom 4 is on the ground floor with its own shower room).
Kitchen
The open plan kitchen lies at the heart of the living area on the second floor. It features rustic slate tiling, sparkling granite worktops and traditional wood and wrought ironmongery. The kitchen has a large oven and microwave, and a full range of cooking utensils and kitchen equipment for your holiday celebrations.
Living Area
There's a large open plan living area complete with a dining table and chairs, breakfast bar, sofas and deep armchairs, coffee tables, flatscreen TV and spectacular gas fire in a slate hearth. We've got antique skis and snowshoes on the wall, and timeless Swiss railway prints which remind us of the origins of our favourite sport!
Entertainment
There is a Bose iPod player with a remote control plus adapter plates for the regular, Mini and Nano iPods. There is an audio visual (AV) system with a large flat screen TV, satellite receiver, DVD/CD player and radio/amplifier.
