The truly awesome new mountain resort of Kicking Horse is nestled in the Purcell mountain range of Canada's Columbia mountains - beloved by heliskiers for the area's legendary dumps of powder snow. The nearest airport to Kicking Horse is Calgary - it takes around 2.5 hours to drive the 165km across the Rockies if you don't keep stopping to take photos! Kicking Horse forms the perfect centre from which to explore the world famous resorts of Banff, Lake Louise, Sunshine, Panorama, Radium Hot Springs and Revelstoke.
The downhill and cross country skiing trails, mountain walking, heliskiing and helihiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, flyfishing, golfing, rockclimbing, horseback riding, canoeing, rafting, birdwatching, biking, paragliding and car touring opportunities are truly fantastic.

Eagle's Eye restaurant
We can heartily recommend "Canada's highest dining experience". Simply take the gondola up the mountain at night to dine at the Eagle's Eye. The lifties hand out blankets for the ride and if you're lucky you may see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky! Stop by for lunch if you're skiing.
Grizzly Bear Refuge
Here you can watch Boo, an orphaned grizzly cub, in his wild habitat enclosure.
Northern Lights Wolf Centre
This is an interactive centre where you can learn about wolves, and where you can even walk with wolves from the pack. Don't forget your camera!
